Bridging the Partisan Divide: how can we build understanding?

Are you concerned as I am about the tone and how vitriolic our public UNcivil discourse has become? Please join us in exploring how to build bridges of understanding between the left and the right. We don't expect anyone to change their values or even their positions -- but we expect to be able to listen to one another so we can understand and respect one another -- and perhaps find new ideas and solutions that bring greater wisdom to our many challenges as a nation and community. This is a place to bring our wisdom and maturity as elders. Global Citizen Journey, a small non profit based in Seattle, has created powerful dialogues across cultural divides in Nigeria, Ghana, etc. Now we are partnering with the Transpartisan Alliance to bring compassionate listening to our own divides. Please join us! The founders of Transpartisan Alliance will be here next week, so we are hosting meetings Tues (to hear their report and discuss what we might do in Seattle) and on Thurs (to brainstorm what an citizen exchange might look like).
